Dear Friends,
It would be an understatement to say that 2022 has been a rollercoaster of a year. Even as we
were congratulating ourselves on having come out of the pandemic period fairly unscaled and
loaded with a lifestyle of lessons in 2021, when we ‘R’ word-struck Recession.
There were overall downsides happening across the world, especially in the ever-consistent tech
industry. People being given the pink slip overnight dominated news media and created an
atmosphee of dread and a fall in the equity of hitherto trusted corporates.

Such an environment of uncertainty has posed fresh challenges for business leadership as
revenues came under pressure and there has been a recalibration of business goals and vision.
Adgully’s 2003 edition of Powerful Influencers reflects the resilience and business acumen of
industry leaders who have been steering their organisations through very rough waters.
Another significant development that has happened in the recent week is an accelerated
adoption
adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), more specifically generative AI. The first two months of this
year alone have seen a proliferation of AI chatbots - most talked about of these being OpenAI’s
ChatGPT. Microsoft followed with its own version, so have Google and Meta. Many more are
expected to follow suit in the coming times. Such tech tools are slated to revolutionise the very
ways business is done, communications are carried out, as well as the skill upgradation that is
required.

are very important and exciting times indeed!
