92.7 BIG FM identify ''BIG Melody Maharaja & Maharani'' after a gripping finale

92.7 BIG FM, Chennai’s No. 1 Melody station, identified the “BIG Melody Maharaja & Maharani” following a gala finale at the Chandra Mall on Sunday evening.

Ardent 92.7 BIG FM listeners Mr. Srinath and Ms. Senthilnayagi were crowned the winners of the talent search which was launched by celebrated actor Vikram in December.

Srinath and Senthilnayagi were adjudged champions after a gripping final round of 10 contestants, which was judged by Super Singers Srinivas, Shakthi, Soundarya and playback singer Sathya Prakash.

The “BIG Melody Maharaja & Maharani” is a special initiative by Chennai’s much-loved melody station to provide a platform for the people of Chennai to exhibit their singing skills and recognize their talent.

The gala finale was the culmination of a month-long hunt during which 92.7 BIG FM hosted karaoke contests at various malls and high footfall points across the city where the station’s Radio Jockeys engaged and encouraged participants.

Srinath, a 92.7 BIG FM listener for six years, lauded 92.7 BIG FM’s initiative. “This is my first competition and I thank 92.7 BIG FM for providing a canvas for the people of Chennai to display their singing abilities,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Kiran Thangarajan, Cluster Head, Tamil Nadu, said: “As Chennai’s much-loved melody station, we at 92.7 BIG FM constantly endeavor to interact with our listeners and to provide a platform for them to exhibit their talents.
