Action-packed 'Yudhra' fizzles out with predictable plot and missed potential
He is born with anger issues;
Petting lizards and sucking lollipops,
He takes on the baddies, ten at a time!!
That's Yudhra for you, an orphaned kiddo of a slain upright cop. Fostered by his dad's colleague, he is sent undercover to unearth an international drug cartel only to find his pappa's 'asli' killer.
With a plot rooted in the '80s, Yudhra rests only on its action sequences, which to its credit, are imaginatively choreographed. Unless you have feasted on those Korean actioners on OTT!!
Siddhant Chaturvedi is sincere in the titular role but somehow, lacks that hunky hero wala appeal. The sexy Malavika Mohanan hots up the glamour quotient but the script doesn't offer her any scope beyond that. Raghav Juyal literally carries forward his villainous act from Kill released last month. Ram Kapoor and Gajraj Rao lend able support. Shilpa Shukla leaves a mark even in a small role of a corrupt cop.
Techically brillant with some superb foreign locales (particularly Portugal), Yudhra still ends up a bore due to its mundane plot. Even the proverbial twist in the tale is as predictable as Xmas in December. Yawn!!
