Ad Club Madras bridges Academia-Industry gap in TN

In a significant step toward bridging the gap between academia and the advertising industry, Advertising Club Madras has expanded its Student Chapter Initiative to include more colleges and universities across Tamil Nadu. Recent additions to the program include MEPCO School of Management Studies, Sivakasiand the Department of Communication, Madurai Kamaraj University, alongside previously enrolled institutions such as Trichy Government Arts College and Apollo Institute of Hospital Management and Allied Science.

This initiative aims to provide students with hands-on exposure to the advertising and media sectors through workshops, guest lectures, internships, and interactive sessions. As part of the expansion, 159 students from MEPCO School of Management Studies have joined the Advertising Club Madras Student Membership Program, highlighting the growing interest in the initiative.

The program's structured curriculum includes tailored workshops and sessions by industry leaders, such as:

  • "What is PR?" by Mr. Ramkumar Singaram, Co-founder & Director, Catalyst Public Relations Pvt. Ltd.
  • "Ideas and Advertising" by Mr. Ravindran Solomon, Founder & CEO, Soloverse.
  • "Career Counselling" by Team Ad Club Madras.

These sessions are designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the advertising, media, and communication fields.
