Adgully Exclusive | Adventure + cause, Narendra Singh cycles through India to spread the eco-friendly word

Our's is a time when we face mercurial climatic conditions due to human negligence of nature and at such times we need to commit to save our planet. Atop a cycle with the rapid rush of the air and a delicious sense of strength, Mr. Narendra Singh, a true crusader of the environment, saving movement will begin his 60-day expedition with great gusto. Committing to our planet earth, Mr. Singh decided to cycle on 29th September 2011. Thus it is no surprise that the eco friendly city, Aamby Valley City, has generously extended a helping hand toMr. Singh and to ceremoniously flag off his cycling odyssey.

When Adgully spoke to Vivek Kumar, CEO Aamby Valley City who joined in the flag off celebrations and with great enthuse, about the initiative, he said, "we are very concerned about our environment as an organization, also about the natural disorders like ozone depletion, black rain, deforestation and so on, with a purpose of creating green consciousness we initiated this step."

Mr. Singh, a Limca Book of Records holder, plans to cycle through the heart of the nation from his base camp at Everest to the Southern tip at Kanyakumari saddled on a bicycle with his fellow environmental crusaders with the zeal to save the earth and spread an eco-friendly message.

In an exclusive chat with Adgully, Mr. Narendra Singh, said, "With a fact that our country is growing in terms of success and the pollution is also increasing day by day, I took up this initiative. Recently when I climbed Mt. Everest, I felt as if the glaciers are melting at an increasing rate day by day."

The effort is to make each and every citizen of India understand what Green consciousness is all about, how we can conserve energy, how we can prevent our mother Earth.

Narendra says, "This is an adventure of a lifetime that I am to set out on and I feel amazing and exciting to explore the unknown wonderland. I hope I am able to inspire others to live in a more eco friendly way and this would not have been possible without such a support and motivation by Aamby Valley City."

The simple cause is to save our planet. There should be no geographical boundaries when it comes to environment protection. Cycle being pollution free and eco friendly has been used as the most important medium in this initiative; as it defines human strength and endurance. "What can be a better medium than a cycle to create awareness about your environment," said Vivek.

The whole phenomenon of going such a distance on cycle in itself is so motivating and shows the concern and determination of saving our planet.

With different mediums of promoting this campaign, the company does not have any marketing perceptive or any kind of campaign for this expedition. No doubt that there is sense of awareness among the people of our country but such an activity sparks off your nationalistic sentiments.

Vivek says, "As Narendra passes from one zone to another we will have our colleagues and officials who will help us creating awareness and spreading our message to the people."

A loud cheer of bon voyage filled the air as Mr.Singh embarked on his 60 days and 60 nights pan-India adventure where he will cover a mammoth 11645 km atop his 2-wheeled vehicle to save mother earth. On this unforeseen journey as Mr. Singh faces the unpredictable and for his selfless endeavor, one would only wish him good luck and salute his enthusiasm. | By Aanchal Kohli [aanchal(at)adgully.com]
