The company now provides a range of services like artist co-ordination, concerts, creative corporate challenges, event conceptualisation, special effects, artist management etc. The Talent Brokers recently announced on 17th of November 2010, International singer Bryan Adams' Indian tour; a part of Bryan Adams Live Full Band Show World Tour.
The Indian edition of Bryan Adams Live Full Band Show World Tour is being brought to the country by Netsurf Entertainment (a division of Netsurf Communications (P) Ltd.) in association with The Talent Brokers, the company that is handling the Bryan Adams World Tour.
The tour will cover Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi and Hyderabad, with concerts on February 12, 13, 15 and 16 respectively. There is a multimedia promotional and marketing plan being chalked out for the event. A lot of brands have responded very well, Netsurf Entertainment will be closing on a title sponsor very soon. The promotional activates will start in the end of November and there will be a full blast promotion for two and half months.
Amidst all the spirited announcements Adgully caught up with Richard Coram, Bryan Adams' Tour Producer and Managing Partner, The Talent Brokers. Talking about the tour and it being a mega-event, Coram says, "The band size is going to remain the same. However Bryan has a lot of surprises in store this time around, which I cannot tell you, I would not want to spoil the fun. But people who come along for a Bryan Adams concert they expect a good night and they get a good night because all the big songs are going to be in the show and people like to come and sing along and be a part of it."
When asked if it is a hectic job to manage an event of this nature given the fact that Bryan is a world-renowned music legend, he says, "It is not unusual for Bryan to be on the road touring, it is something that he has been doing for over thirty years. He has a a very experienced road crew that travels with him. The band has been with him for years and they are quite experienced. So it is a very well-oiled machine. From an international perspective Bryan touring the world, it has got systems and procedures like any company would have. So those systems and procedures are followed and its works usually fairly smoothly."
But he also acknowledges the fact that things can go wrong at times and adds, "Sometimes there are one or two hiccups along the way and somethings are out of our control like flights get delayed. But I guess that is a part of life on the road."
Actually Bryan is going to be doing five shows, presently four have been announced, one performance will be before Bryan comes to Mumbai which will be announced at a later stage. "Five shows in a six day period is actually quite a tough task, so we have a very large crew and we have got our fingers crossed that everything works out well," Coram adds.
Besides Coram says, "The kind of response Bryan gets across media and music fans is quite unique to him. But when he comes back to many cities the crowd size actually grows."
Talking about India as a market which is ready for a large scale event of this nature, Coram says, "India is pretty ready to host a mega event like this. I still think, when you look at the major metros there is a shortage of municipal venues that can host these shows. The biggest problem in India today is where do you do the show? Take a look at the places we are playing and in essence they are pieces of grass. So everything has to be built. So you are actually building a venue for just one night, plus you have to get water facilities, toilets, food and beverage stalls, electricity etc. There is enormous cost to it as well. So producing a live event in India is a very very costly affair at the moment." | By Prabha Hegde [prabha(at)adgully.com]
