Air India’s safety ad visually great, but falls short of main purpose
Following brand revamp, as well as introducing a new look for its aircraft and crew, Air India recently released a new video on the standard flight safety procedures to be followed in an unusual way, featuring the rich cultural heritage of India. The over four-and-a-half minute long video features India’s various classical and folk dance forms, providing an incredible visual delight.
The video has been praised highly for the visual appeal, however, many on social media also felt that it fell short of its main purpose – which is clearly informing passengers of the necessary safety procedures and equipment. “It seems to prioritise marketing elements over effectively conveying over crucial safety information to passengers,” said one netizen.
