Ajay Gupta is the new CEO of Century Pulp and Paper, Aditya Birla Group’s division

With over two decades of experience, Gupta has an impressive track record of transforming large-scale operations and establishing globally competitive manufacturing facilities.

Before joining Century Pulp & Paper, Gupta served as Senior President and Unit Head at Grasim Industries Limited | Pulp & Fibre. Ajay Kumar Gupta brings a wealth of experience in textile manufacturing - Pulp & Fibre businesses and a proven track record of driving success and growth in his previous roles. He is an acclaimed stalwart in business automation & is known for the turnaround of business units towards sustainable profitability.

His career also includes leadership roles at APRIL, where he led the construction of the world’s largest integrated Greenfield Viscose manufacturing facility, and at Archean Group Company, where he spearheaded the establishment of a marine chemical complex in Gujarat.

Gupta’s academic background includes stellar institutions like BITS Pilani, IIM Bangalore & INSEAD – The Business School for the World.
