Ajay Verma, Ashish Khazanchi partner to launch 'Enormous'

Earlier Vice Chairman and NCD at Publicis Ambience, Ashish Khazanchi and Ajay Verma, Chief Growth Officer, Draftcb Ulka have joined hands and launched a full-service advertising agency named Enormous. Both are known for their popular Tata Sky’s “Isko laga dala toh life jhingalala" campaign that was launched during their stint at Rediffusion Y&R between 2005 and 2007.

The joint venture launched by the duo believes in ‘Talk-worthy communications with the confluence of insight, technology and unexpectism’.

According to Enormous today the grammar of speaking to the consumer has changed. Ajay Verma, Managing Partner Enormous brandworks Pvt Ltd had this to say about the launch of Enormous, “Our markets are learning newer ways of tuning advertising out. Brands need newer ways of not just communicating but forming talk-worthy connections.”

He went on to say, “Ideas can make a substantial difference to any brand’s fortunes. We are about chasing the enormous-difference-making-ideas for brands with mass aspirations, with the confluence of insight, technology and unexpectism. The age of incremental ideas or maintenance ideas is behind us. We believe that in this post-digital age any brand action or communication needs to be talk-worthy. We need more connections with the consumer and less advertising white noise. Building marketing advantage through large connection & communication ideas and unexpectism will be at the core of our efforts. Enormous will also create its own IP’s in the area of brand assets and consumer interface.”

Enormous will be a part of Concept Communication's network - which also includes shops like Scarecrow Communications, 11 Brand Works, Brandnomics, ITSA Brand Innovations including dedicated public relations and media outfits. Concept will be one of the promoters with a 50% stake in the new venture.

The agency which was launched three weeks ago is currently working with a few clients, with an equal mix of project work and retainer business, in sectors including consumer goods, retail, broadcast, sports, and real estate.
