AMO bags the creative mandate for News Express!

AMO has won the creative mandate for News Express, a new Hindi news channel, which will be aired from July 28, 2011. AMO was started in 2000 in a joint venture between Percept and Hakuhodo Inc.

On the conformation of the development Adgully spoke to Jitendra Khokle, the chief operating officer, regarding the mandate and account size. Khokle says, " our key task shall be to create rapid awareness and sampling, through clear differentiation , on the back of a stark and will hitting hard on multi media campaign."

"The account size and spends will be large enough to achieve benchmark salience and dominate viewer mind space during the launch, "he added.

Briefing more about the channel's role in social and digital media, Jitendra says, "social and interactive media will be strategically utilized to bring alive the channel's viewpoint of news and politics in front of the viewers and buyers."

Talking about the launch campaign he said, "the launch campaign shall be an impact oriented 360 degree burst. This will then be followed up sharply focused communication to flag specific interest groups, and highlight specific programming offerings."

The channel targeting the Hindi Speaking Markets will be a free-to-air channel with Mukesh Kumar as Editor and CEO. The channel will be launched by Sai Prasad Media.
