Animal Planet Explores the Boundaries between Facts and Fiction In The Bizarre World of Plants and Animals

The natural world has weird and wonderful stories beyond our wildest dreams. But can we really trust our eyes? Can we tell fact from fiction? A lively new series, FOOLED BY NATURE, will bring you the most extraordinary stories from the wild. Animals that have to fight against their own kind to survive, a hungry hippo that fights for a patch of food-rich river, world's largest rodent whose life is a constant battle, and many such stories from the natural world.

In each episode, the series presents five unique stories.  But only four of these stories are true. Can you separate the reality from fiction? Is the suicidal spider the red herring? Or is it the authoritarian mole rat? FOOLED BY NATURE explores the weird, the wonderful and the dazzling in the natural world – with a twist.

The 26-part series FOOLED BY NATURE airs on Animal Planet every Friday at 8 pm.

Commenting on the series, Rahul Johri, senior vice president and general manager – South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific said, “FOOLED BY NATURE reveals incredible stories from the wild, unveiling the amazing world of animals which is as bizarre as it is wonderful. The channel continues to bring such unbelievable stories that entertain and engage the viewers. In this series, Animal Planet unearths astonishing facts and myths about animal behaviour.”

The series features interesting tales of the male monkey who is lost without female support, Frigatebirds in the Caribbean which are fish eating sea birds with a fear of water, the star nosed mole with a power to detect and eat prey with such a speed that is way too fast for the human eye to follow! In the wild, truth is stranger than fiction.
