The channel is on the lookout for potential anchor-journalists. For this the Hindi news channel has launched a three month campaign titled STAR Anchor Hunt only to scout and spot the right talent, spread across 10 cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Allahabad, Nagpur, Indore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Patna and Chandigarh.

An interesting mix of judges including STAR News anchor Deepak Chaurasia, writer Chetan Bhagat and Bollywood actor Tisca Chopra will look for that special face with the promise of being the "change agent for the society" the channel is looking out for.

While Chaurasia will read between the participants' ability to grasp and communicate nuances of news as a subject, Bhagat will try to inspire them, and Chopra, who started her own career as a presenter with STAR News and is anchoring a show called Superstar on the news channel, will inform the wannabe anchors do's and don'ts of the trade.

The news channel will finally pick a boy and a girl as STAR Anchors. The winner duo will get an opportunity to work as anchor-presenters with the channel for six months and will be gromed by the channel on diction, speech, and news presentation. The winners also stand to win a Ford Figo car. Interested?
