Axis Bank's new advertising campaign by Lowe Lintas

You must've had bets against your friends during the college days, I am sure. Won a few; lost a few? I was always one of those street-smart chaps who'd take on a bet only on matters or subjects I'd be sure of winning! Call me sly if you want, but it always worked for me and was all in good humour and never ugly. And a few times it so happened that my friends always used to say that they didn't have change for a 500 rupee note or for a hundred, in case of smaller bets. And if even I didn't used to have the change cash required to give back, after deducting the winning amount, I used to walk along with my friends to the ATM and get them do the job. Heck, nostalgia is starting to settle in, as I write this. I want to meet my college friends again!

Anyway, the source that made me go back in time and visit my college years is a video beautifully conceptualized and created by Lowe Lintas for Axis Bank. Trust me, the moment I watched the video, my heart mumbled "This is so realistic! We used to do such things, damn!"

The advertisement starts with two army personnel sitting somewhere in Nathula Pass. Now, Nathula Pass is of historical importance as it was sealed in 1962 following the Sino-Indian war. Having reopened after many bilateral and trade treaties were signed, Nathula is one of the three border trading posts between China and India.

The creative team to be applauded for their effort consists of R. Balki, Arun Iyer, A.P. Zeth, Ashish Kharwatkar and team while those making up for the servicing team are Anaheeta Goenka, Indraneel Ghosh, Nipun Goomer, Rajesh Salvi, Alokananda Dutta and Divya Madhavan. The person at the helm of planning process was Tarina Rallan.
