Ayan Chakraborty bids adieu to Percept/H
Ayan Chakraborty, Chief Growth Officer, at Percept/H has put down his papers at the agency. With this move his stint of two years with the agency comes to an end.
Chakraborty himself has confirmed moving on from the agency to start his own business venture.
Chakraborty looked after the business development and integration within the group company during his tenure with Percept/H. His experience in advertising covers categories such as FMCG, automotive, tobacco-liquor, media and telecom, and also across various markets outside India, as well. He managed the business development for Percept /Hand and played a major role to win businesses such as Fedex, Olympus and Ditto TV while with the agency.
Chakraborty’s career began with Phoenix in Kolkata. He managed their ITC business before moving on to Equus in Mumbai. He also worked on brands such as Coca-Cola and the ABP Group while working as an accounts supervisor with Bates Kolkata.
The year 2005 saw him at Rediffusion – Y & R but he was with them for a short stint of six months where he handled clients such as General Motors, GPI, Xerox, New Holland Tractors and PVR. He has also been with Grey-Dhaka for two and half years as their Client Servicing Director. He is known to have handled clients such as British American Tobacco, Procter & Gamble and Glaxo Smithkline during his association with them.
He joined Saatchi & Saatchi as Assistant Vice -President in 2006 and was stationed at Delhi during his stint with them. Two years later in 2008 he became Vice President of the agency and was posted to their Bangalore branch in connection with the senior level management restructuring. While with them the businesses he managed included P&G, General Mills and Mahindra-Renault.
