The #TakeChildhoodsSide campaign by Bachpan Manao has taken Instagram by storm, gaining unwavering support from some of the most prominent voices in childcare and parenting. Influencers like Harpreet Grover (The Curious Parent, 1 million followers), Tara Sharma Saluja (413k followers), Maria Goretti (307k followers), Fatema Agarkar (30.2k followers), Neha Kanabar (UNIMO Universe of Moms, 51.6k followers), Simone Khambatta (228k followers), Sruti Nakul (361k followers), Piya Marker (38.9k followers), and Satrupa Sharma (158k followers) rallied behind the campaign. Even India’s leading toy company, Funskool (18k followers), joined the movement.

Over just four days, more than 215 participants on Instagram amplified the social message, driving over 20.5 million impressions and reaching nearly 8 million people on the platform.

The #TakeChildhoodsSide initiative was designed to spotlight the stark contrast between a “Child’s World” of joy, wonder, and creativity, and an “Adult’s World” dominated by structure, stress, and technology. The campaign encouraged parents, caregivers, and influencers to advocate for more free play, reduced screen time, and experiences that nurture creativity and exploration in children.

Participants were invited to post side-profile images on Instagram, symbolizing their commitment to prioritizing a child’s freedom and joy over excessive structure and technology. By tagging posts with #TakeChildhoodsSide, the initiative disrupted feeds, sparking curiosity and conversations about the importance of childhood play and healthy screen habits.
