‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ to be made into a franchise
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan’ is set to release this week. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and he has also co-produced it with Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Films. The film also stars Pritiviraj Sukumaran in a negative role, while Manushi Chillar and Alaya F play the female leads. The film will see Sonakshi Sinha essaying an important character.
During a media interaction Prithviraj revealed details about how the film’s makers are planning to turn this action film into a franchise and said, “When Ali first narrated the story to me, I was completely following the two hero tracks. I genuinely thought it was entertaining. It is planned to be a franchise. I would like to see the next part of the franchise. It has got everything to be a blockbuster franchise. The good thing about the franchise is much like the ‘James Bond’ and ‘Mission impossible’ films – usually the story of the film is about a villain and then the heroes come and save the world. I love the fact that like all instalments of other franchise films, there is a strong character and good story for the villain. I was so happy that Ali offered it to me; the first person I called was Akshay sir as I already know him. I told him I am so thrilled to be working on this with him. I also knew that I am pitted against these two incredible action heroes. It was intimidating to do action with Akshay and Tiger.”
Pritiviraj’s last Hindi film was ‘Naam Shabana’ in 2017. He is making his comeback in Hindi after a long time with this film, where he will be seen sporting a special mask designed for his character.
‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ is going to have a box office clash with Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Maidaan’, which launched earlier this week. Both the films have targeted a long Eid holiday weekend and have already opened advance bookings.
