Banijay acquires production company Endemol Shine India

Banijay, a prominent worldwide entertainment enterprise, has successfully attained full ownership of content production company Endemol Shine India, previously holding a 51% stake, by acquiring the remaining 49% stake from CA Media.
This strategic acquisition has firmly established Banijay as the foremost independent content studio in the nation.
Endemol Shine India, a subsidiary of the global Endemol Shine Group, is renowned for its production of popular shows like Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi. Master Chef India, etc. In the year 2012, CA Media invested an approximate sum of Rs 250 crore to acquire a 49% stake in the company with the aim of positioning Endemol as the premier content production powerhouse in India.
Deepak Dhar was hired as the CEO of Endemol India, entrusted with the responsibility of leading the company.
Banijay has made a payment ranging from Rs 738 crore to Rs 821 crore to CA Media in exchange for their stake in the company.
