BARC ratings Week 49: Zee Anmol takes a mega leap

Last week we reported Zee Anmol skidding to number three position from the second place where it was plonked comfortably since the time rural markets became a part of BARC ratings. This week saw a bounce back and how!

Week 49 ended on a very positive note for FTA Channel Zee Anmol. After a very long neck to neck competition between Star Plus, Colors and Zee Anmol, Zee Anmol has finally managed to gain No. 1 spot with ratings of 779821 as compared to 756154 last week, leaving Star Plus and Colors behind at No. 2 and No. 3 spot respectively. Zee TV, Star Utsav and Life Ok maintained their respective positions of being No 4, No. 5 and No. 6. Though Life Ok ratings slipped from 516234 to 474327, Zee TV and Star Utsav saw marginal increase in their ratings. Sony TV and Sony SAB did not throw much surprise and maintained their respective rank of being No. 7 and No. 8. Sony Pal and Rishtey swapped their places with Rishtey managing to rise to No. 9 slot. At No. 10, Sony Pal ratings drastically dropped from 366535 to 302045.

Top 5 Programs in Hindi GEC

Colors’ Nagin is still ruling the charts although its ratings dropped to 17819 from 19576 in Week 48. Saath Nibhana Saathiya stayed at No. 2 slot with ratings of 15344. Kumkum Bhagya at No. 3 did not throw many surprises. Sasural  Simar Ka and Zee Anmol’s Ek Se Bhale also maintained their position of No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Top Hindi Movie Channels

Week 49 was not much different from week 48 results as channels maintained their respective slots. The only change was in viewership numbers. Sony Max remained at No. 1, though its ratings plummeted from 446005 to 428921. At No. 2, Zee Cinema’s viewership also declined from 424707 to 370768. At No. 3, Star Gold’s ratings more or less remained the same and Movies OK ratings declined from 293237 to 246468. &pictures was at No. 5, though its ratings descended to 177495.
