BARC reports 44% decline in its FY2024 net profit to Rs 20 crore
The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has seen decline in its net profit as well as revenue in FY2024, as per media reports. Profit after tax (PAT) of BARC declined by 44% to Rs 20 crore in FY2024.
Meanwhile, the TV audience measurement body saw its revenue dip marginally by 0.6% to Rs 319 crore in FY2024 from Rs 321 crore in FY2023.
The Economic Times reported that the bar-o-metre from BARC witnessed a steep decline in profit of 60% to Rs 2 crore for FY2024, while there was a revenue cut of 2% to Rs 105 crore.
