The Mishra brothers, who are judges of BIG Bal Kalakaar TV seriesare  part of a 300-year old lineage of khyal singing of the BanarasGharana and have been performing for audiences across India and the world over and have released over 20 music albums in genresranging from classical Khayal Gayaki, to semi-classical Tappa andBhajans. The inseparable brothers, who have continued their family's over-100-year-old tradition of the joint family system, have adopted the classical tradition of guru-shishya parampara, which is evident in their Gurukuls in Benaras and Dehra Dun.

The classical singer duo believes that this innovative talent search recognizes the purity and innocence of young child singers as well as propagates positive values in children through the medium of devotional singing. Along with Pandit Gulshan Bharti, who is the mentor for the budding children and the young and talented hostPrajakta Shukre (of Indian Idol fame), judges Rajan-Sajan Mishra,promise that the show will capture people’s imagination.
