BIG Marathi Rising Star Awards Salute the Stars of Tomorrow

BIG Marathi Rising Star Awards, a gala awards ceremony, first of its kind is a unique platform for the budding & potential stars of the Marathi industry. Reliance Broadcast Network’s business verticals BIG Live (Intellectual Property) & 92.7 BIG FM, (India’s No. 1 radio network) come together with Star Pravah, to recognize upcoming local talent, whilst giving the industry a unified platform to celebrate. It was supported by many popular, established and upcoming young & talented Marathi stars who took centre-stage at the extravagant evening. The show saw some of the shining stars from the industry, including Bela Shende, Kishori Shahane, Mahesh Kothare, Sunil Pal and many more.

Welcoming the stars on the red carpet were Abhijit Khandkekar & Neha Gadre who played perfect hosts and got the artists to share their zeal towards the glamorous night and predict the winners across different categories. The night was replete with fabulous performances and starry banter.

The gala event began with a skit performed by most the popular face Makarand Aanaspurefollowed by a mind-boggling dance performance by Dance India Dance contestants Prithvi and Vivek. Up next was the performance on the popular numbers by item bomb Kashmira Shahwho lit up the dance floor and engrossed everyone with her moves. Adding to the fun was our very own gangu bai, Saloni, as she interacted with the audiences and fascinated everyone with her innocence. 

The awards saw winners from across different genres in movies, theatre, television, music and sports. The awards ceremony was held at the Bhavan's Campus, Munshi Nagar, Andheri (W).
