Blue Star expands Room AC portfolio with 150 new models
Blue Star Limited has launched a comprehensive range of 150 Room AC models, including a flagship premium range, catering to diverse consumer needs for the upcoming summer season. The lineup features inverter, fixed-speed, and window ACs, spanning all price points.
The new range includes nearly 40 Smart WiFi AC models with innovative features like ‘Customised Sleep,’ Voice Command Technology (Alexa/Google Home), and an Energy Management feature to control energy consumption. The AI Pro+ algorithm ensures maximum comfort, while ‘Defrost Clean Technology’ maintains AC efficiency.
Additionally, models feature ‘Turbo Cool’ for fast cooling, ‘Convertible 6-in-1 cooling’ for adjustable performance, NanoBluProtect Technology for coil protection, and an advanced filtration system, including HEPA and PM2.5 filters. Blue Star’s inverter ACs also operate across a wide voltage range, eliminating the need for stabilizers.
Strengthening Market Presence
Since entering the residential AC market in 2011, Blue Star has consistently grown, aiming for a 14.3% market share by FY26. The company’s Sri City plant, alongside facilities in Himachal Pradesh, boosts production capacity to 1.4 million ACs, with plans to expand to 1.8 million units.
Blue Star is enhancing its outreach via e-commerce, modern trade, and an extensive service network of over 2,100 centers. Brand ambassador Virat Kohli continues to amplify awareness, supported by a Rs 50 crore summer advertising campaign.
Managing Director B Thiagarajan stated: “With India adding 450 million middle-class consumers by 2030, the AC market is set for exponential growth. We are investing heavily in R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to stay ahead and capture market opportunities.”
