Catch Hero Honda FIH Hockey World Cup 2010 Live on Ten Sports
Adding to all the action on the field, off the field viewers can tune into the Ten Sports interactive Studio Show. Hostess Mayanti Langer along with eminent guests Cedric D'Souza and Jagbir Singh will analyse and discuss the games as they happen. Player profiles, match statistics, highlight, spectacular goals and a host of other informative segments will form part of this comprehensive show.
Twelve teams will vie for the coveted trophy in the 2010 edition of the FIH World Cup Hockey. For qualification, the FIH organized three World Cup Qualification tournaments. The winner of each World Cup Qualification Tournament qualified for the World Cup. In addition to the three, the host country gets automatic qualification and each of the continental champions from five confederations receives an automatic berth. The remaining 3 slots went to the teams that finished runners up, third and 4th at the EuroHockey Nations Championship.

To kick off proceedings, the organizers could not have chosen a better match up that the one between arch rivals Pakistan and India. Match number one will surely set the pace of things to come in the remainder of the tournament.
