Channel 4 & B4U Network buy UTV films

Channel 4 and B4U Network, the UK based broadcasters have bought a segment of blockbuster titles from UTV Motion Pictures.

According to the media reports, as part of the deal, Channel 4 and B4U Network will screen eighteen of UTV's 2008/2009 titles such as Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Dev D, Kaminey, Wake Up Sid and the recently released Kurbaan.

NDTV Imagine will also show these films in India as well as its international beams. Similarly, in India, Colors will telecast the premiere run of these movies.

Reportedly, the value of the deal is pegged at Rs 950 million (Rs 95 crore).
