Counting Day: Aaj Tak leads news channels with 1 mn peak concurrent viewers at 8 am
All eyes are on the all-important results of the over month-long 2024 Lok Sabha elections, as the counting of votes begins today (June 4, 2024). TV news channels have begun airing the counting process since 6 am.
It’s not surprising that the first two hours have garnered huge viewership. All news channels have formulated their own strategies to cover the counting day proceedings, using seasoned editors, an army of journalists, poll experts and use of technology.
Till 8 am, Aaj Tak leads the viewership among news channels with 1.02 million peak concurrent viewers, as per reports (Source: Ratingology).
As per reports, News18 India has garnered 4.92 lakh peak concurrent viewers, followed by Zee News, which has garnered 4.27 lakh peak concurrent viewers. ABP News has garnered 3.86 lakh peak concurrent viewers, while India TV has garnered 3.20 lakh peak concurrent viewers.
