Country's youngest Mayor visits Red FM

On the occasion of the release of the political drama, Rajneeti, Red FM decided to invite the Mayor of Navi Mumbai, Sagar Naik. Sagar, who apart from being the Mayor of the 21st century satellite city is currently the country's youngest Mayor. He's only 23 years & 7 months.

Before his visit, Red FM undertook a survey of various suburbs of Navi Mumbai, from which it collected audio bytes of people venting out their complaints & problems which they face in their surroundings.

These bytes were played to Sagar Naik who addressed these issues in detail, explaining exactly what he intends to do about them and what he's already working on. A few people whose problems he took special note of were Namrata Patil from Kopar Khairane who discussed issues of dug up roads in the wake of monsoon, a resident of Vashi, who expressed problems of hawker menace & hoardings put up everywhere on the roads, Vaibhav Srivastav from Kharghar, who spoke about how people selling their wares had encroached upon an open land despite umpteen measures to move them by the local municipal body.

Sagar also spoke about a few ambitious plans for Navi Mumbai and expressed a desire to visit the studios periodically to keep in touch with the citizens of his city. He thanked Red FM for providing him the perfect platform to talk about his plans & pet projects. He also advised the youngsters of the society to be politically more active for the better of the society & country amongst some fun moments discussing life beyond his work with RJ Rohini.
