Crompton unveils “Energy Savings Full On!” TVC for 5-star geysers

Ever wondered if you turned off the geyser before leaving the house? Concerned about energy wastage and rising utility bills while managing daily hot water needs? Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., a leader in consumer electrical solutions, has launched its latest TVC for its new range of 5-star rated water heaters, titled “Crompton Geyser on Energy Savings Full On!” This campaign highlights Crompton’s innovative water heating solutions that provide convenient, energy-efficient performance for households across India.

The TVC is built around a common household concern—the constant need to check if the geyser has been switched off, especially during busy mornings. This everyday worry is humorously portrayed as each member of a family repeatedly asks if the geyser is off. As tension builds, the family realizes that their energy-saving Crompton water heater provides a worry-free solution, allowing them to enjoy hot water without the fear of high electricity bills.

Pragya Bijalwan, CMO of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., explained: “Energy-saving is a significant concern in many households today, where consumers prioritize smart choices in appliances to manage their energy consumption. Our campaign, ‘Crompton Geyser on Energy Savings Full On!’ uses humor to showcase a common household struggle with energy efficiency. Our 5-star rated water heaters provide a smart solution that ensures efficient energy use, allowing consumers to enjoy hot water worry-free.”

The lighthearted film features each family member— from the busy father to the concerned grandmother—repeatedly asking the maid, “Geyser off hai na?” Eventually, they realize their Crompton 5-star water heater solves this anxiety, with the reassuring message, “Koi baat nahin, Crompton hai - India’s No. 1 5-star water heater.” The ad concludes with the catchy tagline: “Crompton Geyser On Energy Savings Full On!”
Launching on television during the India vs. South Africa T20 series, this 360-degree campaign will be amplified through digital and other media channels.

Josy Paul, Chairperson & CCO of BBDO India, commented: “Our campaign taps into families' real concerns about energy use, particularly with crucial appliances like water heaters. The story humorously addresses the relatable ‘Did I turn it off?’ dilemma and portrays Crompton’s 5-star water heaters as the reliable solution that eases this concern, combining energy savings with peace of mind.”
