David Bond joins BBC

David Bond has been apointed as the editor at BBC Sports. David Bond is at present working as a sports editor at the Daily Telegraph and will take over his position in 2010.

In his new role David will provide analysis and context to the major sports news stories and events ' such as the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 Olympic Games ' across the BBC's news and sports services on TV, radio and online.

At Telegraph David worked as a chief sports reporter and focused on the London 2012 Olympics, England football, the business of sport, politics and doping issues. He also covered the football World Cup in 2006.
