Debasish Mishra joins SBI as Chief General Manager of New Delhi circle

State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the appointment of Debasish Mishra as the Chief General Manager of its New Delhi Circle, with effect from November 1, 2024. With a career that spans more than 25 years,  Mishra is bringing a wealth of experience across Credit, Operations, Forex, IT, HR, and MSME sectors, both in India and overseas.

His significant contributions include pioneering initiatives like the establishment of Start-Up branches at IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Madras, and spearheading 3,245 business solutions at the Bank level. A Certified Financial Planner and Chevening Gurukul Scholar, Mishra’s appointment comes at a crucial time as SBI’s New Delhi Circle, constituting more than 1,700 branches, intends to reinforce its market position in alignment with the nation’s growth.
