Deepa Jatkar appointed India Head of WPP’s OpenDoor to manage Amazon account

Global advertising giant WPP has announced the appointment of Deepa Jatkar as the India Head for OpenDoor, its dedicated unit established to oversee the Amazon media account.

Jatkar brings over 20 years of experience in media and consumer technology to her new role. She joined WPP’s Wavemaker India in 2023 as Chief Growth Officer, following her tenure at Meta India. At Meta, she played a pivotal role in the global sales and marketing team and served as a key member of the India sales leadership team.

Her leadership at OpenDoor will focus on media planning and buying for Amazon, leveraging her extensive expertise to enhance the e-commerce giant's media strategies in India.

The Amazon account, one of the largest in the industry, underscores the critical importance of this appointment as Jatkar is set to spearhead one of WPP’s most significant global partnerships.
