Doordarshan to live telecast India-Africa Forum Summit 2015 on 29th October
The third edition of the India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) is scheduled from 26th-29th October 2015 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex in New Delhi. Public broadcaster Doordarshan is the host broadcaster for the event and has readied plans to live telecast the event.
IAFS is a celebration of the close-knit partnership between vibrant India and a resurgent Africa. The four day long event started with senior officials meeting and will be followed by a Foreign Minister’s Meeting and Prime Minister’s bilateral meeting. The main Summit Meeting is scheduled for 29th October, which will be live telecast on the three national channels of Doordarshan.
The Opening Session will be telecast live on 29th October, 2015 (Thursday) on DD National, DD India and DD News channels from IGSC. The session will commence at 08.50 a.m. and will tentatively end by 11.30 a.m.
The Closing ceremony of the Summit on 29th October, 2015(Thursday) will be held at 04.30 p.m. at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex and will be telecast live on DD National, DD India and DD News channels.
Doordarshan will deploy a special team of programme personnel and technical crew for the 29th coverage. All other Doordarshan Kendras will also telecast the above event as Network transmission and would join DDK Delhi.
