Effie Awards India 2015: The campaigns that shone

The 15 edition of Effie Awards India brought much cheer to Mullen Lowe Lintas Group, India. Not only was the agency declared Agency of the Year, it also walked away with the Grand Effie. The agency’s metals tally includes six Gold, five Silver and 13 Bronze Effies.

The Paper Boat campaign, titled ‘Drinks and Memories’, fetched Mullen Lowe Lintas the Grand Effie. The three and a half minute long film is a trip down memory lane with Gulzar and Malgudi Days.

Mullen Lowe Lintas bagged two Gold Effies in the Consumer Products - Cosmetics and Toiletries, Personal Hygiene Category for its campaigns for Dabur Vatika ('Brave N Beautiful') and Fair & Lovely ('Delay Marriage'). In the Consumer Products - Beverages and Drinks category, the agency secured a Gold for its campaign for Paper Boat (‘Drinks and Memories’). The campaign also won a Gold in the David V/s Goliath category. The ‘Go Solo’ campaign for Hotstar bagged a Gold Effie in the Services - Media & Entertainment category. The campaign for Tata Tea (‘From Packaged Good to Packaging Good’) also fetched a Gold Effie for the agency in the Best On-going Campaign category.

Ogilvy & Mather’s awards tally includes four Gold, four Silver and 29 Bronze Effies. The agency bagged two Gold Effies for the ‘End Acid Sale’ campaign done for Make Love Not Scars, a non-profit organisation, in the Direct Marketing and Effie for Good categories. The campaign features acid attack survivor Reshma imparting online make-up tutorial videos.

The ‘Winning Back Lost Love’ campaign for Titan Raga fetched Ogilvy a Gold Effie in the Integrated Advertising Campaign category. The agency also won a Gold for its campaign, titled ‘A for Anthem’, done for The Akanksha Foundation in the Effie for Good category.

McCann India’s metals tally included two Gold, four Silver and four Bronze Effies. The agency won a Gold Effie in the Experiential Marketing/Brand Experience category for its campaign titled ‘Making Women’s Heart Visible’ done for Saffola. The agency’s campaign, ‘U Quit Something I Quit Something’, done for Nicotex bagged a Gold in the Healthcare category.

BBDO secured two Gold Effies this year. The agency won the two Gold Effies in the Consumer Products - Others and Integrated Advertising Campaign categories for the much awarded ‘Share The Load’ campaign done for Ariel Matic.
