Harsha Vardhan Agarwal, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Emami Limited, has officially taken over as the President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for 2024-2025. He succeeded Dr. Anish Shah during FICCI’s 97th Annual Convention held in New Delhi.
Agarwal, a second-generation leader of the diversified Emami Group, brings extensive experience and strategic vision to his new role. Under his leadership, Emami Limited, a prominent FMCG player in India, has experienced significant growth. In 2016, Agarwal was recognized as one of India’s "Hottest Young Business Leaders" in the 'FORTY UNDER 40' list by The Economic Times & Spencer Stuart, showcasing his leadership acumen early in his career. His multi-functional expertise and role in the strategic direction of Emami have earned him a reputation as a forward-thinking business leader.
“I am excited and honored to take over as FICCI President, and I look forward to working with the business community to foster growth, innovation, and collaboration in India. FICCI’s role in shaping the country’s economic future is crucial, and I am committed to advancing this mission,” said Agarwal in his address.
As FICCI President, Agarwal will focus on further strengthening India’s economic standing, advocating for policy reforms, and promoting sustainable business practices. His leadership is expected to usher in a new era of dynamic growth and business advocacy for FICCI.
