Endemol picks Kimilyn Whitaker as Global Head Franchise Management

Endemol, a global leader in entertainment programming and the largest independent television and digital production company in the world, has appointed Kimilyn Whitaker to the newly created position of Global Head Franchise Management, Endemol Worldwide Brands.
 
Whitaker previously served as Vice President, Franchise Management, Endemol Worldwide Brands, North America. Whitaker will continue to report to Olivier Gers, CEO, Endemol Worldwide Brands. She is based in Los Angeles, CA. 
 
In her new role, Whitaker is responsible for driving Endemol’s global licensing business for Endemol’s unscripted, scripted and syndicated properties, including Endemol’s world-renowned core franchises, such as Fear Factor and Wipeout, as well as Steve Harvey, Endemol USA’s first syndicated daytime show. She will oversee category management, brand and franchise management, marketing and licensee relationships and retail relationships. She will continue to collaborate with broadcast partners to deliver compelling and innovative branded products to market.
 
Whitaker joined Endemol as Vice President, Franchise Management, Endemol Worldwide Brands, North America in 2010. In this capacity, she developed numerous brand extensions on behalf of Endemol properties, ranging from retail programs to live entertainment. She also initiated the development of strategic branding initiatives, including the launch of Wipeout branded products. 
 
Before joining Endemol, Whitaker spent 20 years in the franchise and fashion businesses, holding a variety of executive positions at Disney, Lilly Pulitzer and Nordstrom.
