England semi-final win: ITV viewers cross 20mn mark

21.6 million viewers tuned in to watch ITV's broadcast of the England vs Netherlands semi-final match on July 10th, marking the highest peak audience for a single channel since December 2022. Gareth Southgate's squad secured their spot in the Euro 2024 final amidst this viewership surge.

Compared to earlier matches, the audience was notably higher than the 18.4 million who watched England's victory over Slovakia in the round of 16 (also on ITV), and the 16.8 million viewers for England's win against Switzerland in the quarter-finals on BBC.

Throughout ITV1 and ITVX, an average of 19.6 million viewers watched the semi-final between 8pm and 9:55pm. Overall coverage from 6:30pm to 10:45pm attracted 12.7 million viewers, commanding a 64% share of viewership.

ITVX achieved a record-breaking livestream audience, with 16.8 million streams of the semi-final coverage, marking its largest-ever online viewership and the tournament's highest livestream audience.

Next, England will face Spain in the final on July 14th, with live coverage available on ITV1/ITVX and BBC One.
