Equitas SFB celebrates MSME resilience in 'Circle of Life' campaign
Equitas Small Finance Bank has launched a new video under its ‘Circle of Life’ campaign, spotlighting the journey of a small business owner who overcomes significant challenges to achieve success. The entrepreneur’s story, highlighted in the video, underscores the determination and resilience of small business owners striving for success.
The campaign features Karuthan, a small business owner whose story is a testament to perseverance. Driven by the need to provide for his family, Karuthan worked tirelessly but initially struggled to make ends meet. His unwavering resolve led him to start his own business selling sweets and savouries. Despite initial setbacks, including a disappointing first day of sales, Karuthan’s perseverance paid off when Equitas provided him with a crucial loan. This support enabled him to expand his business and achieve remarkable sales growth.
“We are proud to be a part of Karuthan's journey and to have played a role in his success,” said Vignesh Murali, Senior Vice President and Head – Marketing, Equitas SFB. “In India, there are lakhs of small businesses who strive to survive due to the lack of availability of capital. At Equitas, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to achieve their dreams, and we are committed to empowering MSMEs like Karuthan’s through our financial support and services. Our 'Circle of Life' campaign is a celebration of the transformative power of entrepreneurship and the unwavering spirit of MSMEs.”
Through its ‘Circle of Life’ series, the bank aims to raise awareness among local communities about the significant contributions of MSMEs in fostering economic growth and job creation. By providing essential financial services and simplifying banking experiences, Equitas is dedicated to supporting the growth and sustainability of small businesses. The video celebrating Karuthan’s bittersweet journey pays tribute to the resilience and hard work of small enterprises during the MSME month.
