ESPN to launch 3D Network

As we have reported earlier, about ESPN launching the 3D network. Here's the latest update, the sports channel ESPN is all set to launch the TV industry's first ever 3D network in June.

The launch will happen in time with the World Cup match that will take place between South Africa and Mexico on June 11.

ESPN 3D will showcase at least 85 live sporting events in the first year, that includes 25 World Cup matches, the Summer X Games, college basketball and college football.

The channel has been testing the technology since last two years.
