Former Ogilvy Creative Lead Hilary Badger joins Leo Australia as ECD

Leo Australia has appointed Hilary Badger as Executive Creative Director (ECD) in Melbourne, strengthening the agency’s creative leadership at a time of growth and transformation.

Badger, who brings over 20 years of experience, joins Leo from Ogilvy Melbourne, where she played a key role in handling the AAMI account before Leo consolidated the entire Suncorp portfolio. She has an extensive background in delivering award-winning creative work and shaping brand narratives for some of Australia’s biggest companies.

Speaking about her new role, Badger expressed excitement over Leo’s momentum and vision.

“With new business wins, new energy, even a new name – what an exciting time to join Clare Pickens, Andy Fergusson, and the team,” she said.

“Creating transformative work for Australia’s biggest brands is what drives me. And to do so at Leo, where diversity and humanity are recognised as essential to creativity—I’ve found the right home.”

Leo Australia’s Chief Creative Officer, Andy Fergusson, welcomed Badger’s appointment, praising her leadership and creative expertise.

“I’ve been a big fan of Hilary’s work for a while now. She has a proven track record as a creative leader and is respected throughout the industry,” Fergusson said. “She is the right person to build on the momentum in our Melbourne office; we are lucky to have her.”

With this appointment, Leo Australia aims to further elevate its creative and strategic capabilities, positioning itself for continued success in delivering bold, impactful campaigns.
