Gaurav Banerjee to replace NP Singh as new CEO for SPNI?
Sony Pictures Network India has appointed Gaurav Banerjee as its new CEO, according to media reports. Banerjee, formerly with Disney Star, will be taking over from NP Singh, who announced his search for a successor last week.
Banerjee has been instrumental in shaping Star’s entertainment portfolio. His responsibilities included entertainment curation for Disney+ Hotstar, encompassing multiple languages and overseeing original series and films. Additionally, he managed content for the network’s Hindi Entertainment TV vertical and oversaw TV brands such as Star Gold, Star Jalsha, Star Bharat, and National Geographic Channel.
Banerjee has also served on the board of directors of the Indian Broadcasting and Digital Federation and is a member of the core technical committee of BARC India.
