Gigi Bombay unveils new cocktail program with playful digital campaign

Mumbai restauranteur Gigi Bombay, part of Chrome Asia Hospitality, has unveiled a new and innovative cocktail program alongside a quirky digital ad film featuring Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh.

This campaign marks a first for restaurants, using a fun and engaging video to introduce their latest drink offerings. The ad film playfully explores Jim Sarbh's perspective on cocktails, showcasing the highlights of the new program.

Responding to a growing interest in cocktails within the Indian market, Gigi Bombay's program promises a "refined and tasteful" experience. The new menu, launched with much fanfare by Jim Sarbh himself, categorizes cocktails based on their historical eras - from the "Dawn of Drinks" to the "Speakeasy" and "Golden Age." This unique approach allows patrons to embark on a journey through cocktail history, with each era's best libations now available at Gigi Bombay.

The digital ad film features Jim Sarbh as a self-proclaimed cocktail connoisseur who is pleasantly surprised by each drink he tries. The lighthearted video emphasizes that Gigi Bombay's cocktails are for everyone, regardless of expertise.

Talking about the campaign, Nikita Shahri, Co-founder, Chrome Asia Hospitality, said, “Gigi Bombay is one of our marquee restaurants and we are always looking at unleashing the best of our creativity here. To set the tone for our cocktail book launch, we couldn’t think of anyone but Jim Sarbh, his fun personality added to the quirk of the launch. With Gigi, our endeavor is to elevate the cocktail offerings and offer a never seen before experience to all our patrons and this launch is yet another step in the same direction. This is just the beginning and we’re looking at offering a top-notch cocktail experience with international takeovers and much more.”

The video was directed and conceptualized by Nikita Shahri himself and produced by creative agency Secret Sauce.
