Goafest 2012: The Indian festival of advertising kick-starts with a grand ceremony

The long awaited Goafest today begins with the grand ceremony at The Zuri White Sand Goa. Experts in the field of advertisement from all across the South Asian countries have gathered to put forward their best ever body of work.

The event is all set to begin with thousands of potential participants who will showcase and celebrate this year's Advertising Festival. Industry leaders have toiled day and night to put together a robust event. Special care has been taken that the event is not marred by controversies which has plagued them in the earlier years.

Many international stalwarts from the advertising and media fraternity have often quoted that this is one of the best platforms for the South Asian sub continents to showcase their talents and one of the best events to look forward to. The committee has left no stone unturned to work in this direction, the next few days are crucial as it will stand testimony to the efforts put in.

The festival has been formatted as similar to the previous year as, the knowledge session, award session and activities session on the beaches of Goa.

The advertising conclave starts with the theme "Magic of Ideas'. The session has been scheduled to begin with the welcome address by Nagesh Alai, President AAAI. Srinivasan K Swamy, Chairman, Goafest Advertising Conclave. He will be addressing the theme of Magic of Ideas followed by introduction of speakers by Arvind Sharma Chairman, Goafest 2012.
