Google appoints Apple’s Mitul Shah as MD to lead Pixel’s expansion in India
Google has brought on board Mitul Shah as Managing Director for Devices & Services Business - leading Pixel’s sales and expansion efforts in India. Shah joins in from Apple, where he was Head - Consumer Sales. He had an over nine-year stint with Apple.
Announcing his move, Shah wrote on LinkedIn, “I am happy to share that I’ve started an exciting new journey with Google as Managing Director for Devices & Services Business - leading Pixel’s sales and expansion efforts in India.”
“Pixel is not just another device. It’s the platform designed to put the immense power and possibilities of AI in everyone’s pocket. It’s an absolute privilege to be part of this story, to bring the best of Google to Indian consumers and build a more connected and empowered society,” Shah wrote on LinkedIn.
He further added, “I have always believed in the power of technology. No other innovation has had the same power to transform lives and create a more inclusive and equitable world – like AI. Google has been at the vanguard of the AI revolution, and pivotal in making the power of this technology accessible and helpful to everyone.”
In the course of his over two-decade long career, Shah has worked with Accenture, Infosys Technologies. He had started his career with Maersk India in 2002, before he started his own Retail chain in the F&B industry with the venture funding.
