Havas picks Gaurav Soi & Tiraz Balaporia for Mumbai & Bangalore offices

Havas Worldwide’s creative vertical has appointed Gaurav Soi and Tiraz Balaporia for its Mumbai and Bangalore offices respectively. The appointments are effective 1st April 2013.

Soi will handle duties as Vice President, Havas Worldwide, Mumbai , while Balaporia will be Vice President + Office Havas Worldwide, Bangalore.

Both will be reporting to  Shavon Barua, President –West and South , Havas Worldwide. “We have had two senior level hires in our Mumbai and Bangalore offices. Both these gents will report in to me and I am delighted to have them as a part of our team.  At  Havas Wordwide we are focusing on bringing about a whole lot of new talent in our teams as our business continues to grow,” said Mr. Barua while confirming the latest development to Adgully.

During his stint of 13 years in the advertising industry Gaurav Soi has worked on a variety of brands and categories such as Saffola Oil and Salt, ITC Expressions Greeting Cards, VST, BPL Mobile, Frooti, Appy Fizz, Dainik Bhaskar Group, AUDI, Suzlon Energy Limited, Reliance Mutual Funds, Cox & Kings, and Fortis Healthcare. His experience extends to events and activations.

In the past he has worked in agencies such as Grey Worldwide (Mumbai), Ambience Publicis & METAL Communications.

Gaurav, has also been closely associated with the Events & Activation side of the business. His stint at Line Communications gave him the opportunity to work on big & small scale events & activation programs. Some of the clients  include Kotak, FIAT, Perfetti and Orangina among others.

Balaporia was earlier  with Bates where he worked for a year and a half on brands like Tata AIA, TVS, Fiat, Ashok Leyland, and Park Avenue. He re-joined Havas Worldwide (earlier Euro RSCG) and during his tenure of six and a half years has been a part of both, Mumbai and Bengaluru teams. While with Euro RSCG he is known to have handled brands like HDFC Payment Cards, Emirates, Sanofi-Aventis, Bhaskar Group, BPCL Allergan, and IBM.

With close to 13 years of work experience across multiple bands and categories he has been appointed Office Head with a mandate to take the Bangalore Office to greater heights, picking up where he left off from.
