Head Digital Works acquires Adda52 in ₹491 Cr deal

 Head Digital Works Private Limited (A23), India's leading online skill-gaming company announced the acquisition of Deltatech Gaming Limited, which operates one of India’s oldest online poker platforms Adda52. This strategic move underscores HDW's commitment to expanding its footprint in the rapidly growing online poker market, further cementing its position as a leader in the Indian online gaming industry.

The transaction will be executed in two phases for a total consideration of approximately Rs. 491 Crores. HDW will initially acquire 51% of Deltatech Gaming, followed by a merger of DGL into HDW. Upon completion of the merger, DeltaCorp Limited ("DCL") will hold a 5.7% stake in HDW. 

Adda52 is one of India's oldest and most trusted online poker platforms, boasting a robust user base and a reputation for excellent user experience in the poker community. Head Digital Works, with its flagship brand A23, operates one of the largest real-money gaming platforms in India, offering online rummy and poker to over 75 million users.

A23 launched its online poker platform in October 2024 and has since then scaled user engagement through multiple tournaments, game formats, desktop applications. This acquisition brings together two of India’s biggest skill-gaming platforms, aiming to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience and foster innovation in the online poker space. By leveraging Adda52's expertise and A23's technological capabilities, the combined entity is poised to set new industry standards and accelerate growth in the Indian online gaming market.
