Hero Honda to sponsor Hockey World Cup

As the Hockey World Cup is round the corner, the official broadcaster Ten Sports has already roped in the title sponsor Hero Honda.

Not only the title sponsor, Ten Sports has roped in two more sponsors Nokia and MTS mobile as associate sponsors.

According to the reports, Zeel has recently acquired Ten Sports and is targeting at least eight sponsors. The company claims that the spots have gone for Rs 35,000 per 10-second on an average. To promote the event, the channel has roped in celebrities like Virendra Sehwag, Priyanka Chopra and shooting champion Rathore. These celebs are featuring in the ad with a tagline Phir Dil De Hockey Ko.

Reports suggest that apart from all this Zee is also planning on-ground activities like 13-city road show which starts a week before the World Cup kicks off.
