Hyundai Motor India appoints Amitabh Lal Das as CLO & Business Head

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced the appointment of Amitabh Lal Das as its new Chief Legal Officer & Business Head. This strategic appointment underscores the company’s commitment to driving innovation, operational excellence, and sustained growth as it enters its next phase of expansion.

Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of HMIL, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the appointment, stating: “We are pleased to welcome Amitabh Lal Das to our leadership team. With a robust background in legal and allied domains, Amitabh Lal Das brings extensive experience to his new role. Before joining HMIL, Das served as Senior Legal Director and General Counsel at Yahoo India Private Limited, and he has also held key positions at Max Life Insurance Company Limited.

In his role as Chief Legal Officer & Business Head,  Das will oversee the legal, compliance, and secretarial functions of the company, reporting directly to  Unsoo Kim.

This strategic leadership change comes as HMIL aims to enhance its legal and compliance framework, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the automotive industry in India.
