I Hate Fake movement at Carter Road
At a recent public event aimed towards educating and enlightening the citizens of how piracy, adulteration and fake products are affecting and funding the country as a terrorist attack, M M Satish the founder of The Global IPR Foundation and also the lead of the ‘I HATE FAKE’ movement was seen passionately speaking on this thought provoking issue.
Renowned theatre personality Alyque Padamsee mentioned ‘I know of several instances where food products and medicines being sold are expired and we innocently are feeding this to ourselves and family’. He further added ‘There are a lot of expired foreign food products brought into our country and being offered in attractive discounts / promotions – killing people – this is nothing but an act of terrorism, you don’t really need bullets and bombs to kill people’.
M M Satish stated ‘ It’s high time; we come together and protect the future of our country from facing these fatal problems. This drive and similar ones will take place all over the country to bring people together and fight the problem’.
The venue was the popular promenade at Carter Road, Bandra which had many curious onlookers who in unison agreed to support this cause. They were appreciative that there is body who they could take their grievances ahead. Honorable Shri Baba Siddique joined in to offer his support to this cause too.
The event began with the screening of 'Common Man' - a 9mins. short film which was screened at the Cannes and won an award at the last Goa Film Festival by Krishna Kotian.
'I Hate Fake' track which is written and produced by DJ Sin gained the No.#1 position on numerous charts in India including MYSPACE, left the crowd gyrating to the mood of this thought provoking and musically inspiring track.
A few celebrities like Theatre personality Alyque Padamsee, actors Aditya Raj Kapoor, Chandrachur Singh, with wife Avantika, Mukesh Rishi, DJ Akbar Sami were there to endorse their support together as a team. International artist Daljit Kaur from UK, DJ Sin and Richelle Mendes kept the crowd entertained with their performances.
It was also announced that the next crime scene to be bursted will be on fake doctors…and the event concluded with a promise to eliminate all acts of duplicity !
