IBF re-elects MSM's Man Jit Singh as President

The 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) was held in Mumbai today. In the ensuing Board of Directors meeting, Man Jit Singh (Multi Screen Media) was re-elected as the Foundation’s President for the year 2013-2014.

The IBF Board also elected Rahul Johri (Discovery) as Vice-President, besides the continuing Vice-Presidents, Punit Goenka (Zee Entertainment) and Rajat Sharma
(Independent Media). Sunil Lulla (Times Television) was elected the IBF Treasurer.

On being re-appointed IBF President, Man Jit Singh said: “I am delighted that my industry colleagues continue to have faith in me to guide the IBF. The last year has been very eventful for our industry with digitisation phases 1 and 2, considerable progress on a new measurement system under BARC, and a shift from TRPs to TVTs. Substantial challenges continue in the current year. We need to build on the success of content regulation, continue the process of digitisation and work collaboratively with the broader industry.”
