Idea ditches Mumbai Indians

Telecom giant Idea who were the largest sponsors of the Mukesh Ambani owned Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians have end the deal 2 yrs before schedule.

As per the reports, Idea wasn't happy with the association with Mumbai Indians team, as it wasn't giving them the right exposure.

The deal was worth $2-3 million per year and was the higest deal ever. At the time of the signing of the deal just before the second season of IPL earlier this year, both sides had agreed on a three-year association.

Now there is a a buzz that the company is looking at another big team, which can provide a larger branding play. And there is a possibility that idea may approach Delhi Dare Devils.
