India Today Group appoints Shailesh Shekhar Chief Synergy Officer

Shailesh Shekhar has been named the Chief Synergy Officer of the India Today Group. With over two decades of experience leading digital ventures for prominent media firms in India and the global content ecosystem of Microsoft Start (MSN), Shekhar returns for his second stint with the Group. During his 11 years at Microsoft, Shekhar collaborated with Engineers and Data Scientists, enhancing editorial operations, streamlining publishing processes, and advancing personalization for MSN. Most recently, he spearheaded Microsoft Start's business across the APAC region, spanning 13 countries and 10 languages.

Previously, Shekhar served as the Chief Operating Officer & Editor for ITG's digital business. Shekhar will report directly to Kalli Purie. Prior to his roles at Microsoft and ITG, Shekhar held positions at HT Media Group and Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India).
